Sell your LEGO minifigure collection — no need to identify them

A tub of figures from years of sets, a car-boot bundle, or a box you found in the loft? Lay them out, take a few photos and send them to us. We’ll identify every figure and make you an offer on the lot.

When to use this

If you know which figures you’ve got, the quickest way to sell is to look them up individually by BrickLink item number or photo and get an instant offer for each. But with dozens of figures, mixed parts and no idea which version of Darth Vader or Harry Potter is which, sending us photos is far easier.

Our team knows minifigures inside out. We’ll match each one to its exact catalogue version — the small print differences between variants can mean the difference between 50p and £50 — and price them on real BrickLink sales, the same way as our instant offers.

How to photograph your minifigures

Two minutes of setting up makes them much quicker to identify — and means nothing valuable gets missed.

✓ Do thisFace up, spaced out in rows, plain light background, shot from above.
✗ AvoidA heap on a busy background — prints hidden, figures overlapping, hard to count.
  1. 1
Lay them face up on a plain, light background

A white sheet of paper, a pillowcase or a pale table works best. Patterned carpets and wood grain make small prints hard to read.

  2. 2
    Space them out in rows

Leave a small gap so no figure touches another — overlapping hides the torso and leg printing we use to tell versions apart. Around 10–20 figures per photo is ideal.

  3. 3
Shoot from straight above in good light

Daylight from a window is perfect. Turn the flash off (it bleaches out printing) and hold the phone flat over the figures so nothing is at an angle.

  4. 4
Keep each figure in one piece

Put any hair, helmets, capes and accessories on or next to the figure they belong to. If you've got loose heads, legs or torsos, group them in their own photo.

  5. 5
Flip them over for a second photo

Many figures have printing on the back of the torso or a second face on the head. A quick photo of the backs, in the same layout, often settles which version it is.

  6. 6
    Add close-ups of anything special

Metallic, glow-in-the-dark, convention exclusives or anything that just looks unusual — take a close-up so we don't miss it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know which minifigures I've got?

No. That's what this page is for — send clear photos and we'll identify each figure from them, then email you an offer for the lot. If you can identify some yourself, you can also look them up individually on our minifigures page for an instant price.

How many photos should I send?

Enough to show every figure clearly, at around 10–20 figures per photo, plus a photo of the backs if you can. You can upload up to 12 photos in the form; for a bigger collection, send the first batch and reply to our confirmation email with the rest.

Do you buy damaged figures and loose parts?

Yes. Cracked, chewed or incomplete figures and loose heads, torsos and legs all have some value. Photograph them separately from the complete figures so we can price them properly.

What if some of them are not genuine LEGO?

Include them anyway and we'll point out any we think are fakes or third-party figures — we just can't make an offer on those. Real LEGO minifigures have the LEGO logo on top of the neck stud and under the feet.

Should I clean them first?

A quick dust off helps the photos, but there is no need to wash them. Never use solvents or anything abrasive — that can rub the printing off and lower the value.

What happens after I send the photos?

We'll identify each figure and email you back with an offer. If you accept, post them to us in one parcel — postage is free when your offer is over £10 — and we pay within 2 days of them arriving. There's no obligation to accept.
