We buy
Genuine LEGO sets — sealed, complete, or missing pieces / no box
Loose, mixed bricks, sold by weight
Individual minifigures, in any condition
Every LEGO theme, current or retired
Built sets, part-built sets, and sets broken into large sections
We don’t buy
Clone or compatible-brick brands — MEGA Bloks, Cobi, Lepin and similar
Counterfeit or bootleg “LEGO”
Duplo
Non-LEGO toys or items mixed into a parcel
Got Duplo to sell? It’s not something we buy, but Big Block Exchange specialises in Duplo and pre-school sets — worth a look instead of letting it sit in a box.

How to tell if it’s genuine LEGO

A couple of quick checks before you post — it saves you the wait if something turns out not to qualify.

Check the studs
Genuine LEGO has the LEGO logo embossed on the top of every single stud, not just the larger ones. Clone bricks usually skip this or only mark a few.
Check the underside
Most genuine pieces are marked inside the tubes underneath — a small element or mould number, sometimes with the LEGO logo.
Feel the clutch
Genuine bricks clamp together firmly and evenly. Clone bricks are often looser, tighter, or inconsistent from piece to piece.
Check the box or bags
For sealed or boxed sets, genuine LEGO packaging carries the LEGO logo and a set number that matches official listings.

Frequently asked questions

Do you buy Mega Bloks or other clone brands?

No — we can only pay for genuine LEGO. Clone and compatible-brick brands (MEGA Bloks, Cobi, Lepin and similar) aren't accepted and are left out of your offer if they're mixed in with genuine bricks.

Can I sell fake or bootleg LEGO?

No. Counterfeit or bootleg sets — even ones that look convincing — aren't genuine LEGO and can't be included in an offer. See the checks below if you're not sure what you've got.

Do you buy Duplo?

Not currently — BrickBuy focuses on standard LEGO System bricks and sets. If you’ve got Duplo to sell, Big Block Exchange specialises in it.

How can I tell if my bricks are genuine LEGO?

Check the top of each stud for the LEGO logo — genuine bricks have it embossed on every single stud, not just the 2x2 or larger ones. See the full checklist below for more ways to spot the real thing.

What happens if non-LEGO items are mixed into my order?

They're identified and set aside during our checking process. They aren't included in your offer and, because of the cost of returning small mixed items, they can't be sent back — so it's worth a quick sort before you post.
